松本美枝子｜Mieko Matsumoto

写真家、アーティスト。1974年生まれ。学芸員を経て独立。茨城とリオデジャネイロを拠点に活動。主に写真や映像、音、光と闇、時には即興なども用いて、自然環境と人間社会が相互に与えあう影響や、そこから生じる感情や幻影などを可視化することを試みる。主な写真集に、詩人谷川俊太郎との共著である写真詩集「生きる」（ナナロク社）など。

Mieko Matsumoto
Photographer and artist. Born in 1974. After working as a museum curator, she became an independent artist. Based in Ibaraki and Rio de Janeiro, she works primarily with photography and video, incorporating sound, light and darkness, and sometimes improvisation, to visualize the mutual influences between natural environments and human society, as well as the emotions and illusions that arise from these interactions. Her notable publications include the photo-poetry book “Ikiru”, co-authored with poet Shuntaro Tanikawa and published by Nanaroku-sha.
